What is "travel therapy"?

Travel therapy is a position in which the therapist has the opportunity to work in multiple facilities consecutively. This allows for many different experiences and settings and gives therapists the flexibility to move about the country.

Do I have any say in where I work?

Platinum Healthcare respects and prioritizes your wants and needs. You have the opportunity to accept or turn down any position that is offered to you.

How long do I have to commit?

Typically assignments last 3 - 4 months, at which point you have the option to move on to a different facility, or, possibly, extend your time at your current facility.

What about benefits?

Most travel companies offer comprehensive benefits package, including full medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, and life insurance, as well as a 401k. If you have your own medical coverage, tax-free stipends are usually offered as an incentive. For long-term employees of a travel company, vacation time is also provided. In addition, assistance is sometimes provided to aid with traveling expenses and licensure.

Where do I stay?

A furnished, shared accommodation is always offered to you free of charge. If you have other arrangements for a place to stay, a generous, tax-free stipend is available.

How is the pay?

Pay rates vary by location, but are always competitive and commensurate to the cost of living in the area that your assignment is located.

What does it cost me?

The only cost to you is the time it takes to fill out the paperwork.

How soon can I start?

Depending on state licensure requirements, you can start as quickly as 2 weeks from application.
